Race Day - Sunday, September 21, 2008

7:30am - 8:45am Registration & Packet pickup

9:00am 5K Run/Walk
10:15am Little Heroes Hop
10:30am Awards Ceremony

Little Heroes Hop

Children 9 and under are invited to participate in the Little Heroes Hop. This event will not be timed. All participants will receive a goody bag (sorry no t-shirts).

Course

The USATF certified course (IL-05107-JW) begins on Houston Street and runs along the Fox River Trail.

Awards

Overall top three male and female, as well as the top three male and female in each age group will receive awards.

Overall top three male and female will also receive:
1st place - $50 Dick Pond Athletics gift certificate
2nd place - $30 Dick Pond Athletics gift certificate
3rd place - $20 Dick Pond Athletics gift certificate

Directions and Parking

Race is at 100 N Island Ave in Batavia

From EAST:

  • West on I-88
  • North on RT 31 - take about 2-3 miles to Wilson
  • East on Wilson Street
  • North on Island Avenue

    From NORTH:

  • South on Randall Road
  • East on Wilson Street
  • North on Island Avenue

    Parking is available north of the Government Center and along N. Island Avenue and Water Street.

    Kids/Adults with Histiocytosis

    Personalized t-shirts will be made available to those with histiocytosis who will be attending the race. In order to receive your t-shirt, please email histioheroes@yahoo.com by Thursday August 21, 2008 to let us know you or your child will be attending the race. We request that these t-shirts be worn to the race, so that the runners, walkers, and sponsors can all see those people that they have come out to support.
